only problem I can see is the nature of your listening enviroment. An equilateral triangle is usually as far as most speakers will go without sounding like two speakers (no image). Especially if you are going to have a monitor in between them. Is it possible to move the speakers closer together? When you design the speakers (I'm not too knowlegable in this area, so I will offer little advice) I would take special care with the tweeter. You'll want something very delicate and soft w/ a wide dispersion. I keep thinking that NEAR 10Ms would be perfect for you, but they are comercial and probably more than you want to spend ($450). It might be worth your while to see if you could buy the tweeters though, they are perfect for your environment, and then you could match them with a good midrange driver. (keep the drivers separate)
