Applying it the way you do is probably the least dangerous, most out there will be blasting away with the spray directly into the component, and will risk eventual product failure.The Freon TF is sold as "Blue Shower", or as part of the Miller-Stephenson line of chemical cleaners. It should be available at any decent electronics parts distributor. Since the big flap over air-conditioning Freon, the price of it has skyrocketed, and some shope even quit carrying it, out of some misplaced envirionmental do-good feeling.
