No they are not. If I didn't already have several NOS RCA 5692s, I would go the 12SX7 route.I've got mine open right now. Upgrading all the tube sockets, replacing the coupling caps with Hovlands, removing the 2.2M feedback resistors, replacing the electrolytics in the PS with Solen metallized polyprops, redoing the output stage capacitance (8 x 2200uF/channel), removing the cascode and cathode follower, replacing the remainng 6SN7s with NOS RCA 5692 red base; replacing Sovtek outputs with NOS RCA 6AS7Gs. Haven't decided about the resistors yet.
And the combo of the Equi=Tech Balanced Power units and the Harm Tech cords is getting better and better. Definitely interested in how your DIY cords do.
