Carbon fiber scraps - I should have kept my mouth shut....

Okay, since I volunteered, I will live up to my promise (I think). I have emailed my contact with the resin-impregnated CF scraps and asked him to send me as much as he can. When I get it, I will post a message here in Tweaks, along with some photos of what I have. If anyone ends up interested in a continuous supply of these scraps, I can arrange that as the company is looking to do something with this material on an ongoing basis other than throwing it in the trash - and that is what I have said I would assist them with (finding good reuse, not throwing it away, I meant).

If I haven't already made this clear, let me do so now: THIS STUFF IS FREE. That is right - no cost for this true mil-spec resin impregnated CF fabric (sorry, no Ginsu knives included). I don't even mind paying for a certain amount of postage on my part either. But if someone wants a large amount, you will need to pay shipping on that. Again, my goal is to help a client in my day job find a way to reuse rather than dispose of a material that still has value.

On the other hand, if anyone has a spare pair of 6uf/100v and a pair of 4uf/100v film caps good enough for a crossover application, I would be happy to consider that a fair trade for compensation....
