Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I am looking into a way to tweak my Esound CD-E5 Signature. The sound of this player is smooth in the middle lacking texture and clarity when compared with the Marantz SA-8001. I find it good on Piano and guitar jazz trio. It fails in areas where warmth and texture is required such as Horns and vocals.
There is a tweak sold on ebay by audiocom but it cost almost the price of the unit including lnstallation and duty charges since it will be coming from the UK.
Could anyone suggest a similar approach to audiocom in replacing critical capacitors in the audio signal and power supply. Please indicate type of components to be used if possible.
Thank you in advance!
