Questions regarding speaker upgrades

Was wondering if upgrading to some some parts in the crossover (replace crap with Mundorf) and internal wiring would bring a step up regarding the sound of my Dynaudio (Audience 42) speakers?
Or could I just ruin the "voicing" of the speakers?
