this cdp has loads of mods....
the white wire is to ground ? just a guess...
the muting transistors are QN05...08,
replace the opamps with sockets then fit as a minimum opa2604 or op2134 or my fav opa2227
replace the diodes with schottky's ie 11dq10's
the dc blocker caps will be emasculating the sound ....replace with paper in oil ...again my current favs.
