Well, a (good) friend did it while I watched. Not exactly a drop-in replacement, since two of the receptacle "ears" have to be cut off to make the Furutechs fit. They replaced PS Audio Power Ports, BTW, which already had the ears cut off.

So how does it sound?

Well, assuming that the word about long break-in time is accurate, I still have about 395 hours to wait. But all I can say is that if it gets much better than this, I may not be able to handle it :-) A whole new world of clarity, dynamics, openness and "authority," for starters, assuming I'm not deluding myself (quite an assumption).

I wanted to do this because all my power cords (CryoMax III) are terminated with Furutech FI-11M(Cu) AC plugs. In any event, after a day's listening, I can strongly recommend this tweak.
