RE: Sibilance and RFI

OK, first I should tell you that I bought mine already well broken in from another inmate. Second, my system is largely solid state, with the excpetion of a tube buffer (MF X10d) between CDP and amp.

I suspect that you can get RFI intermodulation pollution from a variety of ordinary household soruces in most situations. Consult Al Sekela's many posts on this one

I do not experience any falloff of LF and HF is qutie detailed without being harsh (once I did a minor re-burn-in) or grainy.

Downstream I have a wide variety of AC elements: Marinco, Wattgate, P&S, Furu Cu. So if ever there were a test of a mixed bag, mine is it. The SWO-XXX works great for me. Better than the Furu, though I liked the Furu.

YMMV, of course. Give it time to fully break in and then consider downstream elements and RFI controls.

FYI, those stainless steel plates might not be all the best. I'm not surprised that you got better results with the plastic or nylon plates. But a true aluminum plate probably would work very well with this setup.
