Thanks to both of you for responding. Yes, I've tried tapping on the unit, swapping tubes, checking different inputs (the SP16 does not have a balance control), all to no avail.I believe it's a relay issue as well. But since I have absolutely no tech or DIY skills, maybe one of you knows the answer -- the SP16 has sealed microprocessor controlled switches, and the consensus seems to be the problem is with a relay. Where might the "relay" be located? If it's outside of the switches and somewhere on the board, there's an ARC certified tech here locally who might be able to fix the problem without me having to ship the unit to MN. Thanks in advance.
