I would have thought that better coupling of the sub to the suspended floor would result in an increase of vibration transfered to it and a corresponding increase in the boom amplified in the enclosed volumes.
That might be an apparent increase in mid bass weight.
If you isolate instead then would would get the cleaner leabner sound that would or at least should reveal a deeper bass.
