I don't see why not. It is a simple procedure. It is also the most efficient as nothing is getting in the way. Your method is good, but you have two extra sets of cables to deal with. With the EVS I have the extra set of attenuators.If Pass won't do it for you ask them to provide instructions so you can take the unit to a competent technician.
