Hi all -
I have a tube preamp that has in the power supply three 150mfd@450V caps, and one 6800mfd@35v cap. I noticed that alot of folks suggest bypassing PS caps is a good thing, so.....To 'bypass' these, would soldering a 1.5 mfd cap across the 150mfd be correct? Do I need to find a cap w/ same voltage criteria? And would a 68mfd be correct for the 6800mfd? If so, would then bypassing the 68 w/ a 6.8 make it better??
Other caps in the preamp are in the 1-2 mfd or pfd range (so bypassing wouldn't really improve things, right???)
Thanks
Dan
