I'll check my scematics when I get home, but it sounds like the cap in the feedback loop is open. If the main filters are bad it will hum. If the cap in the feedback loop is going bad, the bass will decrease and have little gain.Don't spend $200 on new main filter caps until you find out for sure, the caps in the feedback loop cost about $2.
