DIY for about $50

I built a 2 deck 23 position stepped attenuator for about $50, but I have enough parts left over to turn it in to a 4 deck if I wanted. I bought an ALPS 4 deck 23 position make-before-break switch from triode electronics, and a resistor kit from digikey. I forget the exact prices of everything but I think the switch was like $20 and the resistor kit was about $15. Add a couple bucks for a box and some female RCAs, a little bit of solder, and a couple hours sucking flux fumes and you got yourself a great quality stepped attenuator.

Mine sounds great and works like a charm!
