Ok Jon-- Just like to say here that you are pretty darn good. I took four inches of the board and put them in a corner and POP the bass and midbass came alive with more soundstage. Was quite suprised, but I feel that if I do the quick bass trap concept you speak of things will be that much better.I have been reading Aron 01's thread and I am going to buy the Insulation bats for the bass traps as well. I won't be getting the rolls, rather Home Depot has OC R-30 bats in a large 24"x48" package. I'll just use this and cover it. Question- with this bass trap should I put it on floor in the corner or elevate it to the middle of the corner as you suggested with the pannels? Also, should a bass trap be in all four corners?
The room lenses are also the way to go for me. To be clear. I use three 2 1/2" PC pipes cut to 58" and put fiberglass in the tubes at various spaces and then cap them off with wood on both ends with appropriate spacing. Some questions can I paint them black? Do people glue the pipe to the wood or cut partial holes in the wood and fit them in?
