Agreed on this one, in my case anyway. I had a wall switch that turned on/off the power in the outlet a few feet away. Either or both of removing the switch from the cct and cleaning the wire ends before connecting them together certainly cleaned things up. This was done to stop the kids from switching off the system from the wall switch, but I certainly cannot complain about the effect on the sound.....
