Hubcaps lack the grungebuster2's thicker, compliant "grungebuster" material that is so effective at absorbing microphonic vibrations. Grungebuster2 accomplishes a more thorough and complete job of eliminating grunge and distortion.Although not quite as effective sonically, Hubcaps make a significant improvement of CD playback and have the convenience of being placed on CDs permanently so they don't have to be removed and re-applied.
