But opening up the speakers is really not much of an issue if you are careful, you have the right tools and work space, and you have the bucks to replace anything you might potentially fry.Isolation is a big part of my speaker project. I use heavy spiked stands filled with sand and lead shot.
I use Granite floor tiles with rubberized roofing repair material (never hardens) in a constrained layer approach. I love spikes I spike the stands to the floor and the granite, and spike the speaker to the granite.
I am a firm believer in mass coupling!
