I had the same situation and adding acoustic treatments helped out, but not as much as I would have hoped. It helped other problems out alot, but didn't do much for bass below 100hz. To solve this I got a EQ for my sub, which did a world of wonder. I had a couple large peaks, one around 7db if I recall correctly, that I fixed with a Behringer BFD. Didn't cost much either, only $99 with free shipping, plus a extra cable.Jared
