Hi,Steve illustrated the electrical issues already.
I find that even serious solid state output stages (such as LM6171/6181 CFB Op-Amp's) appear mildly compressed when loaded with a very low load impedance (normal "audio Op-Amp's are positively bad) plus you force output stage of Op-Amp's invariably into class B for much of the signal range, tubes are out completely unless you use a transformer coupled stage, which however also sounds better without load. To me this kind of stuff just does not work at all, in the context of the kind of system I use.
HOWEVER, if you like what the Elliano device does in your system, go for it with my blessings.
