Searching the archives, I found this statement by you.... "Ignoring for now Mr. Elliano's design (as it has well known drawbacks)". I could not however, find the "well known drawbacks". I listened to Mr. Elliano's preamp and seemed to prefer it to a "transformerless" stepped attenuator and thought I would build one. Would you be so kind as to tell me what the "drawbacks" are, which unfortunately are not "well known" to me. Thank you.
