Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ.

OK, a little reality (not circuit) testing...

1) Al is telling you the general advice you'll find here: power conditioning, particularly with the commercial units, may limit your dynamics or cause other problems. It's not impossible, but the run of the mill (and not cheap either) conditioners you mention probably won't do it for you. They will help empty your pocket.
2) You can DIY some awesome and very effective stuff rather cheaply, if you look them up on Tweaks and Cable Asylums. You do need to be careful with power, though! Research and test, before you take any chances. (I did well and am extremely satisfied and haven't compromised my safety.)
3) YOu won't know what power tweaks can do (nor RFI nor vibe control for that matter) until you try them. It's a matter of not knowing how much junk is masquerading as musical information until you remove it, and removal is cumulative. Power tweaks of the right kind for your specific situation (sorry, it's idiosyncratic) will add up well over time.

I don't know what your setup is like but here are tweaks that worked for me consistently:
a) replacing outlets with better new P&S outlets (not the audio jewelry or the very high tech expensive stuff)
b) replacing and DIYing power cords
c) CAIG ProGold and Silclear conditioning of all connections carefully
d) various RFI tweaks on power cords, cables and strips, like Power Wraps and magnets
e) Jon Risch Super Quick & Dirty Isolation Transformer (which is worth exploring for your headphone amp if it draws low current levels).

Do your research here on AA and go slowly. Don't run to spend your dough all at once. Try something, see if you like it, remove it and see the results, then decide on it (take a couple of days to weeks with anything new); then go on to the next tweak.
