Re: Any one try to DIY a Mana rack??

So has anyone tried a DIY version?? Im still looking at differant ideas for a rack that ill be building, I built the Flexi for my brother and it looked nice but I doubt if it makes the system sound better. Id like to build something that will actually sound nice. A few ideas ive been throwing around are
1. Mapleshade Samson clone(similar to flexi design but far better built w/ 1.25 solid steel rods, 2in maple shelves, brass footers...ect)
2. Sandbox style rack
3. Synopsium clones shelves
4. Possibly a Mana style with welded iron and glass shelves

Any opinions on which would give the best results?? Im looking more for a fast, punchy sound than a slow, warm sound. Im think options 3 & 4 would give that kind of sound more than 1 & 2. Im leaning towards Synopsium clone shelves since I can get most of the material for free, but Im not sure what kind of rack to use the sehlves on?? Any suggestions would be great, theres to many post to look through on these subject, its crazy!
