I appreciate the suggestions. I had thought about velour curtains, but I don't want to leave anything up all the time or that would require any kind of fasteners. I just want to be able to wedge something in my 4" deep window wells during listening/viewing sessions, and then take them down to let in light (and prevent moisture accumulation--thanks, Al). Ordinary egg-crate foam is too floppy. I need something a little stiffer (mayme inject the egg-crate stuff with Viagra?).
