Yes, I have evaluated my room with test CD'd and it has a fair amount of slap-echo. This has improved with the placement of a carpet and some wall/window treatments but is still audible to some extent. My wife has a tendency to put up lots of wall pictures. This would be fine if it were not for the glass covering. Maybe I will try to remove all the glass when she is asleep.:) Think she will notice??I do notice the slap-echo is worse in some areas of the room. Should one try to eliminate it in all areas or just the listening position?
I may try to make some DIY room lenses as well as wall panels to put up on the high ceiling walls. And BTW, that was 22 feet, no typo!
Do you think I would get much improvement with some felt dots in the ceiling corners or should I try to DIY some sort of corner treatment?
