Hey! I got it! He who makes ChrisVH the hardest every month wins the VHAudio door prize, right? I'd say "or she," but let's face it, most women possess enough common sense to stay away from audiophilia.

My wife, the very woman who had the sense to run to the wall and start pulling cords as the pine-pitch smoke puffed from the preamp like a beekeeper's wha-cha-ma-call-it, is the same woman who for the last year said, "what buzz?" Right. What buzz.

Here's the really scary part. I dream a lot. Crazy stuff, like get up and run naked from the house inn the middle of the night, shouting about tigers in the closet.

Well, in the past year, with greater frequency, I'm lost in a dark cave, feeling my way across wet, stony walls, and hearing nothing but buzzing. My wife's with me, holding my hand, telling me she'll stick by me at least until we get out of the cave. She keeps saying, "what buzz?" though. It's tortuous and to the mosqito buzzing around my head while I sleep I imagine there's a fair amount of thrashing going on below her. (the vampire mosquito, not my wife)

Anyhow, in the dream, we finally see the light, sprint to the cave opening but when we stumble out into the daylight I turn to see my wife and SHE LOOKS LIKE THE AUDIO CLOWN. He's saying, in her sweet voice, "what buzz?"

Actually, she just told me that the whole system sounded lovely, that it sounded like Sade was in the living room. I thanked her, then held my tongue. I didn't recall the last time I put on Sade. Come to think of it,...

First, her telling me that reminded me of when a woman tells you your dick's almost too big. Not that that happens anymore. I am married.

Second, if Sade was in my living room, the last thing I'd want her to do is sing.
