like that before ! I've got one in my pre amp & one in a passive attenuator/switcher I made. I've never managed to get inside one like that. I always assumed from it's construction that once it was playing up it was time to replace it alltogether. I want to get rid of the thing alltogether & replace with a stepped 'resistor ladder' attenuator.The alps pots are good for the money but they always have a channel mismatch at low level.
