Get an Acoustat TNT 120 and forget it. It is less expensive than most amps out there, and was designed to drive Acoustat speakers, something very few amps can do today. It may well sound better than the amp you are using now as well. It will be far less than the cost of building an amp. The Aska's are nice sounding amps, but put some Fred's in them, the Acoustats may be even better sounding, and will likely still cost less.
