Hi,
Shiva 12" drivers work very well in 2.3 cubic ft. sealed enclosures such as you have. I bought mine from Audire Audio on the web for $125 each. They are long throw, high power handling, polypropylyne 12" drivers. The sound great in my 12 by 24' room. Bass goes deep, and has power to shake the room. Very clean, nice detail. I have mine in 2 ft^3. , sealed enclosures with spiked bottoms. I drive them with a Marchand active xover and an Adcom gfa-555 power amp that I bought used for $350. If you want a built in power amp for each cabinet instead, check www.madisound.com. They have nice amps up to 250 wpc with built in xover at good prices, that can be integrated into your cabinet. Also I have previously used sub amps from parts express on the web. They sounded fairly good also for a little less money.
