Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ.

Not meant to imply anything.

It goes without saying that what I posted is my opinion of the matter.

That opinion is based on listening to a lot of different cables over a very long time period, on many different systems, and having tried a great many different approaches to DIY cables.

I have listened to the HD 14, and found it wanting. That is my opinion, just as it is your opinion that it sounds way better than Kimber 4TC.
Based on my years of experience, I think that I know why it sounds good to some folks, I have been down that road myself, and back up it at the end of that trip. There is definitely some serious euphonic efects occuring (again, in my opinion).

But I should not have to constantly preface or footnote my remarks about cables, or any other piece of audio gear, with a standard phrase: "this is my opinion". This is pretty much a given for any comments on audio gear. That is all anyone's comments can really be, since we still can not completely characterize what a given audio component will sound like, just based on a typical set of measurements and specs.

As for any data or 'actual facts' that Kimber 4TC is more acurate than the HD 14, what data or facts would you have me supply? Other than my wide ranging experience with cables?
As for specific instances of listening, I have listened to Kimber 4TC on about a dozen different systems, and have ready access to some Kimber 8TC, for which I have noted the sonic difference betwen it and 4TC. I have listened to the HD 14 on three different system myself, and had some of my regular audio buddies report on it too, folks whose opinions of audio sonics I have come to trust and appreciate. They tend to agree with me on the whole, one even comented that it was a "fun cable, but not accurate". I never comment on any given test cable before they have had a chance to listen for themselves, he formed that opinion all on his own, without any input from me.

BTW, I never called you a moron, or meant to imply same, if you took it that way, then I failed to communicate as clearly as I intended, and I apologize.

With that last comment, I am now curious: do you own stock in Home Depot?
