Quick question: DIY Bass Traps (using snap-on pipes)

Hi All,

I am finally going to be building some bass traps. Before you tell me how traps with snap-on pipes are inferior to the full monty, I know :) I will be building the full-on traps in around 9-10 weeks (due to time constraints) and for the moment I want to try the ones with snap-pn pipes. Furthermore, a contact of mine can get me some of these pipes for next-to-nothing (far cheaper than even the rolls of insulation, aka SQ&D traps) so I am going to give them a try.

The pipes I can get are these ones: Snap-on Pipes.

I just had a few questions before I go ahead:
1. What diameter should I get? I can get anywhere up to 300mm internal diameter
2. What thickness should it be? I can get 25, 40 and 50mm thickness
3. What density should they be? I can get 80, 120, 160kg/m3. (I may also be able to get 40kg/m3 but I am not sure yet)

I will be getting 8 pipes in total. They are all 1m in length so I will be able to make 4x2m towers (2 pipes each) and place one in each corner.

Any help appreciated,
Best Regards,
X
