Thanks for the idea, Paco. I've been doing this ever since I read your earlier post. I'm using Music Boy/Petra cables, which are coax so it's easier than dealing with twisted pair ICs.Go to a hardware store and buy Danco brand "Seat washers for Price Pfister -- fits two handle faucets 3H-8H/C." They come two to a pack, so you'll need 2 packs for one set of ICs. These rubber-like things fit tightly over an RCA jack. I strip the coax cables down to the dielectric, wrap enough teflon plumber's tape over the dielect so it fits snugly into the jack (when the center conductor wires are splayed back over the tape), trim the ground wires down to a half-inch or so, and hold them onto the outside of the jacks with the faucet washers. The difference in using these "nude" cables compared to using Bullet Plugs or Cardas jacks is NOT subtle. The only potential problem is oxidation, which I'm attacking in various ways (silicone adhesive on any ground wires that still show, etc.)
