Bass Trap : Will this work -John ?

I was trying to build some Q & D bass traps and after reading your advise, multiple times this is what I did (I am a very poor DIYer).
1) Corning fiber glass R-13 , 15 inches wide about 40 sft, rolled, I bought few of them.
2) Stacked 4 of them (palstic cover intact) and tied them together with Duct tape- tightened the loose covers with tape.
3) Covered the 5 feet tall cylinder with burlap, using fabric glue sprayed on the taped rolls.
4) Covered the burlap with polyester from Wal mart-again with fabric glue.
5) Used tape to cover the top and bottom surfaces.
I really needed some bass absoprtion as I was getting some boom even after placing a room kit from Realtraps. Has no money, hence decided to DIM. I did not need HF absorption but I thought polyster will make it better looking !
They look ugly, anyway !
