Hi Sean - thanks for the reply. Actually it was a local audio engineer (Scott Frankland of Wavestream Kinetics) who mentioned that there are potentially VERY high quality relays available and made the suggestion. I hadn't read your reply on Audigon til a few minutes ago.Whether its a switch or a relay I have a feeling I won't be thrilled with the results either way - I think this project needs more thought.
My latest thought is to hardwire high quality speaker cables into a box and then use jumper cables/banana plugs to select the desired amp. A bit more effort to switch but maybe better sonically.
