You have the diffraction and the diffusion correct, but the resonance and absorption are separate effects. Resonance comes from the chamber in the center, stuffed or unstuffed; absorption comes from the stuffing.Jon told me that the order of impact was heavily skewed to the first 2, with the last 2 being relatively minor. Order of impact is: diffusion, diffraction, resonance, absorption. The synergy at the Argent standard dimensions works for most rooms, which is why they must have settled on those dimensions alone.
I'd be willing to bet the expensive Shakti Hallographs work on the same diffusion/diffraction principles, but with the diffraction being the major effect.
