The manufacturer's recommended loading for the ATOC9ML I use is 20 ohms with a transformer and 100 ohms with a head amp. I tried 100 and found it too bright. I much prefer 22 ohms.I compared my moving coil amp to a friend's Bryston TF-1 moving coil transformer and found a slight preference for the amplifier. The difference was not large.
