Take an aspirin!Jitter can be induced into the system through many means, including timing issues and equipment quality. No need to discuss this any further since a whole magnitude of articles have addressed this problem.

The kind of thing the sand bag tweak addresses is outside of the PS issues, it directly addresses the issue of the master clock oscillator and it's susceptibility to it's own tendency to generate spurious signals based on
the air vibrations from the loudspeakers.Except to add, that everything has a resonant frequency or vibration, that can smear the sound if not controlled. This includes stands, floors, furnaces, plumbing ... etc, all of which transmit vibration to our beloved equipment.
Therefore it is more then vibrations from loudspeakers that smear sound. This mod works well even at very low listening volume.
However you are right on one thing ...
