I read an article about this in the UK mag HIFI-world some years ago. They used copper foil tape. They simply covered the top of each IC with the copper foil and used small, 1nF or so, capacitors to ground. I think they said that gave better results than grounding the foil with a wire. The foil then acts like a capacitor to ground for the unwanted HF signals. I haven't tried it so can't say, but I'd think a total shield like 'patentguy' mentioned would be better.
But this,(the copper foil tape method), certainly is a relatively easy mod, so what's to lose?
