I just wanted to put in a good word for the Cat 5 cables. After conferring with Thorsten, I recently made a pair of speaker cables, each using only two lengths of Cat 5 cable twisted together (one cable "+" and the other "-", all 8 strands in each individual length of cable twisted together). Not as esoteric or flexible (application-wise) as the three-cable version, but I was VERY pleased with the results vis a vis the 16 Ga ropestrand zip cord it replaced. With two cables, you don't have to braid; just twist.all the best,
