Shielded cable reallly isn't suitable for speaker cables, unl;ess the shield becomes part of the overall conducting system as a means ofr lowering the inductance, as in my CC 89259 Speaker cables. These CAT5 style cables have a foil shield over each twisted pair, as well as an overall braides shield for the two pairs (or more), and there is no good way to involve the aluminum coated mylar shield or the copper braid without degrading the sound significantly.
IF you took these apart, and used only the twisted pairs, then it could be real decent, as the insulation is foamed teflon if I remember correctly.
If you want to avoid the braiding, then use the recommended part numbers for the CAT5 recipe, and leave them in the jacket, and bundle, or twist them together as tightly as possible to avoid motor/generator actions.
