For now I just make sure the phones are removed before powering on or off but would like to solve the problem at some point I'll start with the 0.01 cap as this is the easiest. Not sure I fully understand your recommendation. The design is identical to Greg Szekeres Project at headwize.com without the diodes, using vol pot, and 1,000 uf output cap (black gate!) by passed w/1uf.Thank you all.
