On second thought, I bet you only have a bare wire for ground. I do not know if I would want to use this wire as the neutral for the two cicuits. Yes it would work, but...?
Also as pointed out, your system may sound best on one circuit, if it does not draw too many amps. If you have a black and white insulated wire and a bare wire in your outlet, you could reconfigure this in the panel, into one 120v grounded circuit, by using only one single pole breaker, the white for the neutral and bare for grounding. Also, this may be a 30amp circuit with a 30amp breaker. Thus your equipment would be running on a 30 amp circuit and would not be as protected as a 20 amp circuit. However, some prefer this 30 amp setup with 10 gauge wire, such as Stereophiles J-10, but I don't see any good in it. Clear as mud? Regards, Greg R.
