Symposium Rollerblocks and the Symposium platforms

63.21.238.35

Hi Jaybar,

All tweaks are "component dependent" in terms of gaining greater performance out of the component you are trying to tune. Simply because a "tweak" yields a sonic change does not necessarily mean you will gain better sound -- sometimes you will, sometimes you won't. You will just have to experiment on your own and listen carefully for yourself.

If you are using the Rollerblocks directly under the component, you should remove the manufacturer installed feet, as Symposium recommends. Exactly where you place the roller blocks underneath the component will also yield different results -- look for the areas of lowest resonant frequency in the chassis.

Mass loading the components with VPI Bricks may provide better coupling, but they will also increase the rate of drain of vibrations from the chassis because they will increase the chassis resonant frequency, as well as absorb vibrations themselves.

Try the Symposium products without the VPI Bricks, first.

Best wishes,
Jim
