The problem is two issues... One, small spikes getting past your power conditioner. Two, weak digital output signal. In a coax output they float the ground, switch over to toslink (sorry...I don't like the way they really sound but its important to see if the problem is electrical or optical) and see if you still have the same problem. I bet you wont.Some people experience this problem with a host of issues (spikes, lighting, washer/dryer, etc).
