Thanks for the answer. I think that I will post a specific request for help. Most of the information that I have seen is a little above my head, but if I ask the right questions I should be OK.
It was great to hear that the Shallco was a major improvement for you. It is a fair chunk of change. I noticed a distinct improvement when I went from a normal midfi preamp to going direct to the amp through Bournes pots. I hope that the Shallco will yield a similar improvement.
