I am going to have to agree with Jon Risch on this one.I have worked with series filters on MTM designs with slightly different impedances.
I have used them on single woofer designs with the same impedance.
I like the series filters for some siuations. ( a lot )
One time I spent a week A/B tested and listening to the differences between the siries filter and the first order filter an an MTM design.
They were very simular in many ways, but in some ways the series filter sounded better.
Unfortunatly the one with the series filter had some bad off axis response dips that were not present in the simply first order designs.
