Its a shame no one has posted a simple low pass filter for you...I am not competent electronically so I will not take on the responsibility of posting one BUT let me tell you that your idea is quite right, easy to build and many older electronics had a "low cut" or "subsonic" feature for just that reason, to eliminate woofer excursion caused by phono needles riding over warps or during needle drop...some purists want all frequency information included (super high frequencies as well) but I stick to the "limit of hearing rule" 20-20k is enough! try posting the same theme on Vinyl and Digital asylums, explain the lack of response on this board and ask for the design you should come up with something...best of luck...tony
