In an earlier thread the topic of replacing the undersized transformer that came with the little McCormack pre-amps came up. There is no indication of what the voltage output is, but one poster estimated it to be 22 volts. It is my understanding that surplus voltage is dissipated as heat (and the McCormacks do run a a little warm), but what happens if I guess low? Will the unit under-perform or not perform at all? Thanks for any help.
