I assume the factory "bogus" amp is 2 channel. In that case, you should be able to power the front two speakers with that and power the rear speakers with your 500 watt amp, and bridge the subwoofer between the two channels. ONLY if you have an 8 ohm subwoofer, OR your amp is less than 2 ohm stable, which it is verly likely not. I know you don't want to hear that it's a cheesy setup, but once you replace the factory head, you'll be very glad you did. A subwoofer that runs a dirty signal is a very unhappy subwoofer, not to mention a dangerous situation as far as blowing up your subwoofer or amplifier. Good luck.
